Everything you need to know about me

Deep breath…here we go!

What I Do

I’m a multimedia sports host, producer, and writer. Right now, you can find me as the digital media and gameday host for the New York Mets, host/producer for MSG Networks and the American Kennel Club. Been such a big sports fan my whole life; figured, why not make it a career?

On the side, I also emcee and moderate annually for the National Strength Coaches Association, and host live events for brands like Pepsi, Folio Magazine, and the AYU Digital Asset Conference.

And whenever there’s free time, I like coaching aspiring on-air talent, public speakers, and content creators, because you shouldn’t make the same mistakes I did. There’s my 10-Step Talent Toolkit e-book, a series of masterclass interviews with successful media personalities, and live coaching sessions for businesses and groups.

Where I’ve Been

Before all this, I hosted and produced live shows and video packages for the digital media brand LittleThings, focusing on the human interest and pop culture side of sports. With distribution on Facebook Live and various OTT platforms, the shows played to both the brand’s 13+ million followers on Facebook and a lot more on SmartTV apps of all kinds.

Before THAT, I hosted and produced an hour-long talk show for the San Diego Padres called Padres Social Hour, broadcast live on then-FOX Sports San Diego. The seven-day-a-week show covered the latest in Padres baseball, MLB news and notes, and lots of stories outside of sports, with fans able to interact and ask questions live on social media. Guests ran the gamut from baseball legends like Mark McGwire to general life icons like Snoop Dogg.

Prior to going West, I hosted/produced/directed daily news, sports, and pop culture videos for digital video distributor Zazoom Media Group on their Buzz60 flagship brand and 80Twelve product.

And from 2009-2014, I traveled the world as a judge and media personality for Guinness World Records, which was as fun as it sounds. As the global head of sports records and eventual head of the entire North American Records Management Team, I judged everything from the largest meatball to the longest marathon surfing, and interviewed everyone from LeBron James, Kelly Ripa, and the late Alex Trebek, to the world’s shortest woman Jyoti Amge.

As GWR spokesman, I appeared on Today, Jeopardy!, Good Morning America, and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, with multiple appearances on ESPN, MTV, FOX, and dozens of other national, cable, digital, and local news networks. Pretty sweet gig!

And in a past life at the beginning of my career, I was also a newspaper reporter for The Home News (N.J.) Tribune and play-by-play announcer for a bunch of minor league baseball and college sports teams. But this section’s already long enough.

Who I Am

I grew up in New Jersey (Exit 123) to a Portuguese immigrant family, which means I was into soccer way before it was cool. I also speak Portuguese and Spanish and have two passports, so thanks Mom and Dad for all that.

Too unathletic to play sports, I landed on Bob Costas as an idol and got into sportscasting super young. Then I graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in broadcast journalism. How cliche in this business!

You might see me in re-runs on Game Show Network. A few years ago, I won the highest possible money and vacation prize combo on ABC’s The $100,000 Pyramid. First time a player had ever done that. Which was very cool.

And after getting to appear as a world records spokesman on Jeopardy! in 2014, I actually got to come back and earn my way on as a contestant in 2022, which filled a lifelong dream. I got wrecked by a future 23-game champ. Which wasn’t SO cool. But still very cool!

I’ve been to 47 countries, all 50 states, 29 MLB teams’ stadiums, and am never too old to love professional wrestling.
