Mike in a Minute: MLB FoodFest

I went to the first-annual MLB FoodFest this weekend, and tried as many different ballpark foods as I could in 2 hours. Every dish got a one-word review. Mostly because that’s all I had time for between bites.

Looking back, my favorites were:

  1. Arizona Diamondbacks: Churro Dog
  2. Texas Rangers: Buffalo fried chicken glazed donut sandwich
  3. Houston Astros: Fried chicken and mashed potato waffle cone

VERY mad they ran out of Florida Marlins bacon-wrapped plantains. Now I’ve gotta go back next year.

Day In Their Life: WWE’s Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman: WWE superstar. 6-foot-8, 385 pounds.

Me: WWE fan. 5-foot-8, 180 pounds.

The Monster Among Men consumes 15,000 calories a day, anchored by his favorite thing to order at Chipotle: a 2-pound, 1,460-calorie bowl built around three servings of steak and two of chicken. To get pumped for WrestleMania, I tried it myself for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The only thing pumped afterward was my stomach.

Roundup: Bella Twins, Honey Bees, and Giant Meals

I freaked out a little when Blake Horton made me eat all my calories for the day in one meal; freaked out a lot when I tried harvesting honey from swarms of bees; and then completely lost it when the Bella Twins came to visit.
