Roundup: Bella Twins, Honey Bees, and Giant Meals

It’s the end of the month, so – to distract you from the fact summer is basically over – I threw a little roundup together of some of my recent shows. I freaked out a little when Blake Horton made me eat all my calories for the day in one meal; freaked out a lot when I tried harvesting honey from swarms of bees; and then completely lost it when the Bella Twins came to visit.

Check it out!

Read this for the full scoop on my love and admiration of Nikki and Brie Bella from WWE and E! network. Or just watch this edition of Refresh, where they show up around the 23:00 mark.

I can confirm they were as nice and gregarious off camera as they are once the light’s red.

While that was a dream come true, here’s a video made of nightmare fuel: me learning to harvest honey with only a few thousand bees in my way. You can understand why I’d want to be fully suited up.

Jokes aside, I never felt in any real danger. And, like I learned from master beekeeper Andrew Cote, as long as you treat the bees well, they’ll return the favor. I even got to keep a jar of Andrew’s honey for my troubles – makes the death-defying job worth it.

Honey was actually the only thing missing from the massive, 2,500-calorie meal Instagram food sensation Blake Horton whipped up for me.

Any recipe that asks you to “start with 16 Eggo waffles” is no walk in the park. But you can’t say I didn’t try.

That’s it for now, but follow me on social media to see all this fun stuff as it happens: here’s my Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. It’s the only way to find out if the animals actually sting next time.
